barbara cole lee has been an enthusiastic art collector for over 25 years.
After a business career in Human Resources, she became active in the arts community, serving on the following
boards: Governor/School of the Museum Fine Arts, Boston, National Council Co-Chair/Whitney Museum of American
Art, New York, National Council/Aspen Art Museum, Rose Art Museum/Brandeis University, American Repertory
Theater at Harvard University, and the Coolidge Corner Theater Foundation. For over 20 years, she chaired
the Art Sale at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, helping to make it the largest non-profit
art sale in the country, with over 5000 pieces of work on sale from established and emerging artists.
In 2006, she launched bclee+company, her own art consulting and interior
design business, specializing in contemporary art. Barbara designs art spaces, as well as purchases
and installs art for large multi-use office buildings, high-end apartment complexes, corporate and
executive offices, and personal residences.
She travels to many art fairs, such as Art Basel-Miami, Armory Show-New York, Berlin Forum, Venice Biennale,
to source the latest and best in contemporary art. She has relationships with artists and galleries all
across the country that helps her cast a wide net of possibilities, at all price points, to meet the
varying needs of her clients.

She received the BEST OF BOSTON AWARD FOR BEST ART CONSULTANT 2007 AND 2011. She is a passionate advocate for the arts, both locally and nationally.
